You should find your own posture that would expose the "good side" or rather "good image" that will be taken by a camera.
Example... if you have a wide forehead, you must not put emphasis on your forehead rather lessen the exposure of your forehead in the shot.
But just a tip, it would be better if you also be cautious with the lighting around you and use it as a tool to draw out a nice shot.
When you worry about body shots, well just make sure you are at ease or comfortable when having normal shots. Don't look timid and stressed out, have fun if you just need pictures for personal reasons. a nice pose would basically describe who you are with also the proper facial expression that would draw out the mood from any shot.

I think posing someone outside by a large tree with their hands on the the tree and their head turned slightly away is always a beautiful pose.

Ooh, quite a personal preference question dont you think? nevertheless, go acquire the latest september issue of vogue and W magazine. tonnnness of ideas there. observe the fluidity of the models and the flexibility of the photographer.
it is only by looking at many many pictures and observing all the things around you beautiful that you can learn the" best poses", so to speak
