awww :( I would just follow the directions...there isn't any harm in calling a pharmasist. I call at all hours with questions about medication. They know a lot and have access to information about what you can and cannot take. Even if you dont get your medication from a pharmacy, they'll still answer your questions :) Good luck.
P.S. I think I would rather give birth than to have a tooth ache. And yes, I've experienced both!

You will be fine. The issue always is the amount of Tylenol in a medication because too much can damage your liver that being said you should not consume more that 4000mg of acetaminophen a day or it can result in severe liver damage. In the hydrocodone that you are taking the amount of APAP or acetaminophen is 500mg so if you take Tylenol 500mg that is 1000mg so you are still under the amount listed above. Hydrocodone is for break through pain and it doesn't always last long so you may have to supplement the Tylenol. It is always better to take a medication like Tylenol instead of doubling up on the hydrocodone which is an opiate. If you are still having pain in a couple of days and the hydrocodone is not helping you should consult your physician.

Hydrocodone does not come in 500mg Im sure if you look again it is probably 5/500mg. That is 5mg Hydrocodone and 500 mg acetaminophen (also called tylenol). You can have approximately 3000 mg of tylenol per day at your weight. There is some leeway. All hydrocodone has tylenol in it so just be careful when adding extra Tylenol to your pills prescribed for pain.

Shouldn't be a problem if it's just tylenol which can be taken every 4 hours. You could call your pharmacist and get some advice if you'd like, that's what they're there for.
I had shoulder surgery in June and was prescribed vicodin for pain, which is hydrocodone and tylenol. They added prescription motrin to it as the vicodin wasn't enough. So, I'm sure you'll be fine as long as it isn't for an extended period of time.

If you've had a toothache for a week, you should be in a dental chair by now and not having to take pain meds for a toothache. Hydrocodone in an opiate, and very addictive.

Hydrocodone is a opiate analgesic and most contain acetaminophen too so you should be careful not to keep adding meds into your system.
Normal dosing is every 4 to 6 hours (so you should be okay at 4 hours) and you should follow the dosing recommendation of your prescription or speak to your doctor.

I have had many toothaches and know how miserable they can be. I would suggest see a dentist. It may be abscessed and if so you will need antibiotics to get rid of the inflammation. If you convince the dentist its bad enough they usually take you in right away. By the way I don't have so many toothaches anymore because I have less teeth. Good luck. I don't know about the meds.

Hmmm...I am on oxycodone every 4 hours and tylenol if my temp goes above 100 degrees and I'm still alive. :) However I am also taking valium every 4 hours so I don't remember a whole lot either. Gotta love back surgery!! I would consult the nearest pharmacist just to be sure though.

Call your Dr. immediately and let them know the medicine is not lasting for you. They may be able to give you something else. Try not to mix meds. That could be dangerous. Call your pharmacist for precise dosing if you can't get a hold of your Dr. Good luck.
