seems rather funny that the Amish are able to forgive a Man who shot their daughters and killed himself but can't forgive the ones who leave their belief because they have found that those works (man made laws) will not save them and decided to put their faith in Jesus instead of good works!!!!!

They have forgiven the man, because they know, what the
Word has to say about unforgiveness. God forgives us in the same measure that we forgive others , He makes that very clear, and if you walk in unforgiveness, anything that you do will not be forgiven by God.
A man killed my daughter, she had just turned 18. He drove 90 miles in a 45 mile zone and because he was not drunk at the time , he was only charged 100 dollars for speeding and 100 dollars for not having insurance on the car. I forgave him immediately, because I want God to forgive me.
And how do you know whether a person has forgiven someone , unless they announce it on the news ??? The only one that can judge a person's thinking or their heart, is God !!!

Sometimes we feel unforgiven because we don't forgive ourselves and we project our inability to others. The world is full of people that are a mirror for our soul. What we think others are guilty of is frequently within ourselves. If they are standoffish it could be because they don't know how to help your hurt. Perhaps they know your path is to move on. You see past the flesh and they have taken you to your place in the spirit but they can't go where you go now. You are at a turning point. You can glow or you can stumble, I'll help you glow and so will many here. I feel your pain from here. Forgive them, there are far worse in the world.

Perfect love; perfect trust.

We should all be as forgiving as the Amish, regardless of religious beliefs. The world might be just a bit more peaceful and fair to everyone.

I will answer here.

'Gnostic' is so right.

Here is a prayer that I found in the bible, and I use it when appropriate.
"Restore to me the years the locusts have eaten." It has seemed a waste of time to be where you were, but that is a good place to come from. Like the birthing process. We didn't really like it in that crowded secluded corner of the world, but we leave it and go into the Sunshine of His (our) glory. Power is awakened in you now. Step out boldly into it.

Not many can ever have that opportunity you had, and have.

Blessed Be.

Christ-like. They keep things strict for their own reasons and no-one made you judge of their reasons.
