Currently I wash it every 2 to 3 days, and when i wash it i only use a bit of shampoo because my shampoo is harsh. I rub it very well into the roots and when i rinse it runs down. I sometimes winse my hair, but don't shampoo. What is best? I striaghten my hair pretty much everyday, and it does not smell bad, and it seems to be fairly happy hair.it is extremely layered, and thick. with sidebangs. if that makes a difference. it is also naturally no tgreasy, and it naturally is somewhat dry. how often should I wash? every day makes it too dry. I think what im doing right now works fine but I've heard that its bad for my hair.... what do you think?

I plan to switch shampoos this weekend because I'm almost out. the reason i used it was because I thought it would be good but it was too harsh but my parents wanted me to use it.

There is nothing wrong with washing every day. If you do wash every day be certain to use a good conditioner after shampooing. Why are you using such a harsh shampoo to begin with? That is not a good thing to do to your hair and straightening every day will make it drier still. Use a normal/regular shampoo or shampoo for dry hair. L'Oreal makes a fine line of shampoos and conditioners for your type of hair. Use them...I think you'll be happy and your hair will thank you!

You did not state the texture of your hair, whether fine or coarse? If you have coarse hair generally you can go longer between shampoos. I am a cosmetologist and would recommend a mild shampoo and shampoo every 2 to 3 days.

2-3 times a week... if u wash it every day, your body produces more oils and your hair gets greasier, faster... do not straighten your hair every day it is very bad!

It sounds like your washing it often enough... -But maybe you should try using a gentler Shampoo. :)
