JennyLee I do not have any experience with Match.com but did meet my wife of 4 months on Findsomeone.com almost 5 years ago. There was a lot of liars and people who were pretending to be someone or something other than who they are truly, but I got lucky and found a real person after meeting some losers. Just be careful of amout of info that you share on line and do a lot of correspondence with others before giving out your real name or phone number to anyone. Trust your instincts also and if person feels creepy they probably are. As well be careful as there truly are a lot of married and/or attached people on these sites just looking for partners for other things than just chatting, I'm certain you know what I mean. Best of luck and it won't hurt to give it a try, you never know you may actually meet the person who'll you'll spend eternity with.

I used match and I went on one date with a guy who came on pretty strong.
But I met my current boyfriend from a different internet site that was focus more on social activities with a group of people. This is a little less intense then match.com
You could always join social groups with similar interests (try browsing meetup.com). This is a great way to meet new people (and men) who have things in common with you.

Yeah it works, you just have to weed out the sleazy people, which is true of any dating site or situation. The one thing thats good about Match, you have to pay to be on it so it does tend to attract more serious people, not the hit or miss weirdos who are looking for just anyone. Still, you have to be cautious and discrimating with any dating site.
