Christ had nothing against rich people, He was just pointing out that it is difficult for a rich man to give up his love for money and love people.
Matthew 19:23-26 (26 is the most important, and least quoted)
23Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
25When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, "Who then can be saved?"
26Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
Remember that as a tax collector and as a physician Matthew and Luke were both rich.

Normally the rich think of their money and what they can do for themselves. These are the people with whom Jesus had a problem. As far as the riches, they were not the problem. The problem was the rich person's swelled head and thinking they were better than others.

Nothing, but he did have "something" against THOSE who in his life time WERE rich at the cost of other peoples suffering or death. Being rich was not the problem, it was how people got it at the time and how they "spent" it which bothered Jesus.....

It is not the blessing of wealth that He was offended by. It was the LOVE of things in this world. He was taling about the sin of GREED.
Having things, or wealth to buy things, is not something you can "take with you"...when you die it's all left behind.
Even here on this sin-cursed earth wealth can be a curse, enabling sins, creating idle hands that run to trouble, and attracts gold-diggers, hangers-on, kidnaping and murder by your heir.
Even if none of those things happen, wealth makes you proud, not asking God in prayer or keeping fellowship with Him, but just buying it.
When a reporter asked millionaire Rockerfeller what HE could still want, he said, "MORE!" The rich are "poor in satisfaction", greedy, always wanting more.
Rich folks are not happy. Friends and family turn out to be users. Rich folks always crave something more, or better. It is an endless, futile search for illusive happiness.
God gives us JOY that passes understanding. The only peace on earth is being at peace with
God. The only contentment comes from satisfaction, the opposite of greed.
To we richest of all, be satisfied with what YOU have. The grass is always greener over the septic tank. Bloom where YOU are planted!
"Store up TREASURES IN HEAVEN where it will be yours for eternity, never lost, stollen, or worn out."
Such treasures include giving it away. You have to give it away to keep it! God will reward the good you do, for His kingdom of LOVE.

Jesus didn't have anything against rich people, just greedy people, rich or poor. the majority of rich people are rich from exploiting regular people, some have earned and are entitled to their wealth.

Nothing. But He also thought a lot of the poor....which people do not.
Remember..... the Bible DOES NOT say, "Money is the root of all evil." What it says is THE LOVE of Money......
Most Rich people have made gold (money) their god. That is what Jesus taught against. Love each other instead of loving your money.

"It would be easier to a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven"
Historically, the eye of the needle was a reference to a city gate in the wall. It was a very short gate, and for a camel to go through it, he would have to kneel down and scoot through. It is not impossible, but the master would first have to unpack the camel.
In the same way, Jesus is telling us that there is no rich or poor in heaven. Our wealth is left behind, and when we die, we essentially are "unpacked" before entering the gates of heaven.

rather speaking, maximum people of people in western international places are wealthy, as a result the Christians there are additionally wealthy. they are in basic terms no longer following the classes of the guy from whom they take their call. i do no longer think of they are going to burn in hell, yet i do no longer probable understand the way they are in a position to combat so fervently for ideals which they do no longer even adhere to themselves. EDIT: The distribution of wealth and ensuing high quality of existence worldwide huge is obviously unjust by any standards - it incredibly is the important component, no longer some technicality of bible interpretation that enables you to stay very easily mutually as others are suffering. If Christians went out to the places the place help is needed, positioned their money on the line, to assist advance the customary of existence quite than carry forth and build church homes - how could all people argue with that?

Jesus died on the cross to save rich people.
Problem with rich people is, they tend to think their money can save them.

nothing.
Jesus preached repentance and His parables and questions got people's motives to the surface. He wanted them to see their heart, which some later left when their heart was exposed.
The rich man who wouldn't give up his wealth was exposed by Jesus asking to give up all he attained in life. His wealth was more important than Jesus.
That's why he walked away sullen.
