i've had this problem 2 weeks already and it seems to be getting worse. i can't lie flat on my back or on both sides because my legs tend to get weak and numb, and i can only sleep sitting down on the sofa + i feel a very strong burning sensation on the left side of my lower abdomen.

I visited the hospital and they told me i have a muscle spasm, they injected me 2 times on my butt cheeks with some sort of relaxant, it didn't improve anything. and the doctor prescribed 4 different muscle anti-inflammatories + percocet to ease the pain. 4 days have passed and it seems to be getting worse.

So i ask myself, ok maybe this IS a pinched nerve or something, but why can't i lie flat on my back or on sides, and what's up with that REALLY BAD BURNING sensation on my lower left abdomen. I've done my research, Bowel problems? Colon cancer?

and did i mention i have leukemia? i am in total remission however. please help.

Get to someone who can help you. Can you call your leukemia dr? Can you insist on a specialist at the hospital? Can you choose a hospital that specializes in cancer? Somebody is going to have to get nasty with a few underlings before a dr. who knows something actually does something. I'd go with you to the hospital tonight and rattle some cages to get you help, but I doubt you live nearby. It might be good to find a friend or relative who doesn't care how ugly a reputation they get in order to get you help.

It's like my husband. He eats car salespeople for lunch, but he always gets all the attention he deserves.

Do you IM? There's a nurse who answers questions in here, her name is tammy but her screen name is tammer. Her IM is tammer1973. I don't know if that helps at all. I've been e-mailing her through yahoo, or I'd give you her e-mail. She's been through it all--she's a hospice nurse supervisor. She's been very helpful to me.

Keep me posted, if you can.

Call your oncologist and talk to the nurse. They will help you. Also, find a good Pain Clinic or Pain Consultant Inc. You got shot in the wrong place, it seems anyway. Do not let this go and call your specialist today.

I have the similar symptoms. I took endoscopy and colonoscopy tests. Dr suggested that my colon nerves are weak. Taking Vitamin B12/Neuroplex/Pantaprazole tablets. Very good improvement is there.
