I'd like to know if the rumor about putting pork meat in coca cola will draw the worms out of it?

First of all, trichinosis is very rare in the US and only occasionally is found in imported pigs. This is because they worked hard in the 60s and 70s to eliminate any herds found with them. Any acid draws worms out of meat, so coca cola, vinegar, lemon juice would all work. My aunt uses it for certain kinds of fish just because of habit. In Central America, some of those worms in fish caused significant health problems.
