Yeah, i know i picked the wrong word. but what I'm talking about is the disfellowshipped people telling non jehovah witnesses stuff like "We are strict" and "cant have fun" and " a cult that will throw you out for the smallist things? I mean really, the true reason they were "thrown out" was becuase they either had sex before marrige or doing other bad things. so why do disfellowshipped people act like that?

For the same reason little kids call their parents mean when they do not get their way with everything. If they want to practice conduct unbecoming a Christian after being counciled on this repeatedly, the health of the congregation must be put first. Jesus put it best for handling problems between people in Matt. 18:15-17. There are many steps that must be followed.

Sure we are strict about our conduct and living a Christian life though remembering how imperfect we are. We are still a fun group!!! We love fun and put in everything we do. I hear the meetings over a phone link due to illness. The before and after meetings are filled with people enjoying others' company. Lots of laughter, much talk going on. Even the talks and audience comments are peppered with fun. Total sad and sullen just does not work for us. We respect deeply the occasion for learning from God's Word, but Jehovah and Jesus have great senses of humor and Jesus used it to teach as well.

All witnesses think that people are disfellwowshipped for sexual things, until you are the one in the hot seat...
Ever wonder the real reason that you are not allowed to speak to those who have left?

Ever been in a committee meeting and had a bunch of horny men want to know the most intimate details of your sexual experiences, and then disfellowship you anyway because you did not cry?

I am not exaggerating and this needs to be exposed for what it is..
I am tired of the self-righteous questions...Take the rafter out of your own eye....
Every time you walk into a Kingdom Hall and Pass by one of your BROTHERS who is trying to do penance and get back in with the flock...And..You are not allowed to even offer a word of encouragement, your conscience should be screaming out at you!

http://silentlambs.org How many of your children of sisters were disfellowshipped for going to the authorities after being raped or molested...WAKE UP!

Heb 12:5 But you have entirely forgotten the exhortation which addresses you as sons: "My son , do not belittle (the) discipline from Jehovah, neither give out when you are corrected by him; 6 for whom Jehovah loves he disciplines; in fact, he scourges every one whom he receives as a son."
NWT

The verses continue in talking about discipline. We are all imperfect and continue to sin, consider the discipline of today as compared to the discipline of the Law Covenant. The whole congregation would stone the sinners. Now which one do you prefer?

Because of the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we can be forgiven our mistakes if we repent and change course. The time it takes to be reinstated shows humility on the part of the wrong doer, but if they truly love Jehovah and value being part of the congregation they will persist.

A note to Godislove: Remember the bible says "Be wrathful, and yet do not sin: let the sun not set with you in a provoked state, Eph 4:26, So true Christians are very capable of getting angry and being perhaps "rude" sometimes with their comments. Keep in mind, the bible uses the word "stupid" many times, and again, Jesus was not nice when he threw the money changers out of the temple.

It's not a matter of someone committing a sin. We all sin. It's when that person refuses to stop the act, or wants to pursue a wrong course, then by their own unrepentant attitude, are no longer Jehovah's Witness. Because they no longer bear witness to Jehovah with their Unfaithful actions.

Yes, yes, yes! I finally read an answer that mention's what I like to hear. Here's part of Achtung Heiss answer, "Interestingly, such hatred should be expected by true Christians in this time of the END, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples."
Why don't we talk more about Armageddon. Let's talk more about Armageddon. Mankind has to make up their mind already! Jesus said he's coming soon! Oh yes, Lord Jesus, come! Amen.

It's fascinating to meditate on the fact that few persons at the time knew the prophecies of the Hebrew Scriptures better than the Sadducees and Pharisees, especially related to the Messiah. Yet, they apparently were unable to help themselves from working to fulfill many of those prophecies and thus prove that Jesus was indeed the Christ, the Messiah.

Were Christ's enemies motivated by self-importance? Yes.
...(John 11:47-48) Consequently the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered the Sanhedrin together and began to say: “What are we to do, because this man performs many signs? If we let him alone this way, they will all put faith in him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.”

Were Christ's enemies motivated by some unseen force of evil? Yes.
...(John 8:42-44) Jesus said to them: “...Why is it you do not know what I am speaking? Because you cannot listen to my word. You are from your father the Devil, and you wish to do the desires of your father.

Yet, the bible makes it clear that at least some of those Jewish persecutors of Christ and Christianity actually had pure motives, misguided because they needed to learn the truth (see 1 Timothy 1:12-14). Jehovah's Witnesses hope that the enemies of God and Christ are merely misguided, and hope that these enemies recognize that true Christianity is about "good news" rather than arguments and attacks, or bitterness and venom.

It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses are not loved by everyone.
http://jw-media.org/newsroom/human_rights.htm
Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.

However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.

(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers

Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Can I vote Now for "Pestie58" Best answer?

Cuz the person doesn't want to take responsibility for his/ her own actions.
It's sooo much easier to blame others, instead of repenting...
turning around from the course u were on.
Ppl in general, say we are strict; but what they fail to realize...
********Is That It Is God Who Is Strict.*************
He created us w/ 'freewill' and if a person chooses to do bad or wrong things w/ his freewill, that is his choice.
But, the consquences will be made manifest...
maybe not today or tomorrow; but it will come.

J's W's do not accept 'any ol' thing' and call it acceptable;
*********************bc God doesn't.****************
Women don't lead the Congregation- good!
we not suppose to, we are not the head of man.
You can't be immoral & find acceptance w/ God's ppl;
YHWH doesn't accept immorality.
YHWH does not allow us to feed
@ his table & the table of Demons.

They say we can't have fun...yes!, we do! and plenty of it.
We just don't follow the bad course,
most ppl in the world do.
Just cuz a person or group of persons
following the Word of God,
doesn't sink to ur level of debauchery,
does not make the person or group of persons
bad or "not able to have fun."
Every person on the planet has a different idea of what fun is.
For 1 person it may b going fishing,
while another make want to go dancing.
1 may want to have fun going to a mall,
while the other wants to walk on the beach.

Scientology is a cult.
J's W's are not.
I've looked the word up,
all religious followers are in a cult by defination,
there is a positive & negative defination.
Same as the word manipulate-
a positive & negative definition.
Example:
If I manipulate my child,
to learn how to cross the street safely;
this is positive manipulation.
If some1 manipulates u to their own end;
this is negative manipulation.

The answer to ur Q can b found in God's written word.

The truth is that some of them are mean, and some of them aren't. Just like any group of people, there are those with good intentions and those with a proclivity to evil. Likewise, discipline can be administered in a loving way or it can be abusive.

When I was a JW, I experienced both good and evil. In fact, I'm still fond of a few JWs, and I helped a family of them move to a new home last week. Nevertheless there were quite a few who are corrupt. In addition, I don't agree with several of their policies such as handling of sexual abuse, handling of marital disagreements, subjugation of women and delegation of special privileges. Furthermore, I think their consistency of policy application needs a serious overhaul. But that is only my opinion.

Many JWs are fine folks. Unfortunately, not many of them make it into the upper echelons.

I am not disfellowshiped..but, I am Inactive and have researched everything that I was taught as a child and now I am questioning many things that I have discovered..As for your question..I don't see very many of those comments..I mainly see questions about their beliefs, and debating the Bible and such..I must say that I have seen some very rude..very "mean' comments from the JW's to these people..myself included..I have been shocked and disapointed by many of their attitudes on here..They are not doing a very good job showing the Love that God has commanded of his people. I know, also that I have seen many rude comment to JW's from x JW's as well..I don't approve of either..It makes no sense and I know Jehovah God would not approve of it.

I wouldn't call them mean That is unless a Jehovah Witness was being mean, but I still wouldn't say Jehovah Witnesses as a whole were.
Maybe some are a little aggressive with putting their faith out there (coming to people's homes) but not mean.
