Yep, that's what they always did before. Will we go backwards in time? Of course, now there's the morning after pill, but then...

Sure they would do it on the black market and not only that, some companies will offer "abortion tours" where women can travel to countries where the procedure is legal. Like it or not, people can't stop abortion. What they can do instead is push for better and more effective contraception and increased sex education. That will do a lot more to reduce abortions than telling people not to have sex until marriage and then giving them no further information. By the way, marriage doesn't protect against unwanted pregnancy either. Before contraceptives became common, lots of married couples had more children than they could possibly afford to care for. Many of those children ended up being pushed out onto the streets, dumped off on relatives, put into orphanages, or sent to work in factories or prostitution.

Ultimately, yes...a few women would be so desperate for abortions that they would risk their own lives rather than have a baby. I'm just tired of the double standard that allows women to legally dodge the outcome of their own choices. As a man I have no such option...if I get a woman pregnant all the law gives me are responsibilities. In a nation supposedly pushing for sexual equality, why are men left out in the area of reproductive rights?

I'm pretty pro-life. But I think there's still a few reasons that people should get abortions, like if they're a teen and afraid of their parents or if they were raped or if the pregnancy was threatening the mom's life or if the baby had a very serious birth defect. So, if abortion was illegal, then people couldn't get them for those reasons.I actually don't think it should be made illegal, I'm just sorta against it.

you are right about that. However I think that they would think twice before doing that if it might kill them and there is no safe sterile doctors office to kill the baby in instead. At least the mom has a chance of dying with the fetus when she chugs drano which may not be a bad thing.

I do know that. Women have been getting abortions from the time of the Ancient Greeks. But, many more women consider abortions today BECAUSE there are laws governing abortion clinics and safety regulations and the like.
So obviously, MORE innocent lives are taken because abortion is legal.
I do believe that a woman has the right to decide what happens to her body. BUT....does she have the right to decide to kill someone else, even if that someone else is inside her body?
I want to know who is looking out for the rights of that little, tiny, unborn woman inside that other woman who is "choosing" abortion over life?

Like someone said before, there's no way to completely eliminate abortion, or any other crime against life. But that doesn't mean our government should go along with it and turn a blatant violation of human dignity into a "right."
Incidentally, maternal death statistics given by pro-choice organizations are grossly inflated, and no significant drop in maternal death was seen after Roe v Wade. Read this article, it's very detailed- http://abortionfacts.com/online_books/love_them_both/why_cant_we_love_them_both_27.asp#illegal

Yes. "Pro-life people" are aware that if abortions are illegal people will still have them just as people still commit murder even though it is illegal.
