The crusaders where mostly catholics- their leaders were catholics and the cause was to liberate the holy land. The crusades where had a religious cause.
Now the leaders are protestants and most of the military are protestant , Nealy all of the military leaders are protestant and the cause is a protestant cause- democracy/freedom. A secular cause.

The Muslims must learn a history lesson.

The lesson from the history is not that only people with free thinking and following secular causes refrain wars but it is the religousity that is used to ignite or aggrandise the causes of .A truly religious person whether a muslim or christain will not embark upon a war unless forced by the opponent.Muslims do not call the UK & US government crusaders but it is these government themselves which call their war against terror as a crusade to justify their frenzy and glorify their brutal actions. If you revisit the history realisticallyyou can really know that the original crusade was ignited through religosity and frenzy to spread hatred in simple christains against the free thinking and open society getting acceptance fastly in Europe. You will notice that in those wars despite some mean war tacts some of the noble christain kings demonstrated complacence and decency in response to muslim kings. They wanted to show their own christain public that they were no less than muslim kings in moral standard. Please study the history of crusade then you will understand the internal conflict in the christain conscience of medeivial Europe.

I agree with you.Maybe muslims who call US and UK crusaders do not know the history of crusade war.I am muslim too but I do not call them like that. But maybe they claimed that Catholic and Protestant are included in the group called christians.Protestant is a separation from Catholic and its holy book just the same..They think US and UK and also other allies now they are invading muslim
countries eg Iraq and Afghanistan..The war is like the crusade war for maintaining Islam or maintaining muslim country..They know that the protestant leaders hate muslims
and they know that attacking and invading other country is against with democracy and freedom rights of people.

Actually, even during the 'real' Crusades, Muslims called them "Franks," which in Middle Eastern languages was "Faranj", "Farang" or "Farangi." It's the Crusaders who called themselves "Crusaders."

When Osama bin Ladin calls American/British troops "Crusaders" he could be alluding to British General Allenby's statement, who upon seizing Jerusalem from the Ottoman Turks, was quoted as saying, "“Crusades have now been completed.” Since then, the British have never left the Middle East and later on invited the US to build more military bases in the region in order to consolidate and perpetuate Western political and military domination of the Middle East. But who knows?

The crusaders had not only a religious cause but also had economical cause (see: They plundered the Constantinople in the 4.Crusade(A.D.1204) and killed many Orthodox)
Protestants now has not only a secular cause but also a religious cause. (They want to expedite the Armegeddon. They think they can.)

Look crusader or crusaders up in a dictionary. Being called a crusader has nothing to do with being a catholic, though many of the medieval crusaders were catholic.

They probably just lump us all together as christians because there were no protestants during the crusades. Any christians at that time were catholic.

In the new revelation of GOD in the Book TRUE LIFE IN GOD, THE LORD GOD said it was a mistake for using HIS name for war like the said Crusades. Thus, HE did not send the crusaders to Jerusalem. THE LORD GOD is an abyss of love, an unfathomable love, mercy and compassion. Even as THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, our CREATOR, suffered in the hands of men whom HE created by HIS OWN HANDS, HE did not open HIS mouth and was like a lamb led to the slaughter. It is because the love of THE LORD GOD to men is an unfathomable love. And this is the way the divine reason out versus the crusaders who reasoned out for their crusades like mortal men instead of the divine or the way angels reason out for their cause. THANK GOD; FEAR GOD; PRAISE GOD; GLORIFY GOD; HONOR GOD; LOVE GOD AND WORSHIP GOD.
