Do you have to wear a drain after liposuction?

I had a tummy tuck about 5 months ago and had to wear a drain for about a month after. I'm having lipo in a few months and I'm wondering if I'll have to wear a drain after that too. Thanks!

The cuts where the doctor inserted the canula may be leaky or drain fluids for several days. In some cases, the doctor may insert a drainage tube to drain fluid away from the wound.

My daughter did. She had a tummy tuck and liposuction. She did okay.
