I work on them and there great cars just don't have the customer satification as toyota and honda. I also think they make more horsepower model for model except several Hondas have high out put motors Civic SI and S-2000. All and all Nissan cars should compare well with the other cars come on in and drive a couple new Nissans and see.

I am a certified nissan tech and i am very pleased with the product i work on. I worked for gm for 5 yrs before i joined nissan. i havent looked back. Of course nissan cars need repairs, what car wont at some point!?! Most of the warantee repairs i do are little things like a small rattle or a cosmetic blemish or poor fitment. If your tranny does crap out, at least it will be replaced right away instead of the dealership trying (and most times failing) to fix it. They are a little pricey to maintain but you dont have to take it to a dealer for routine items like brakes, tires, struts ect ect. (although thats how i get paid...just my opinion here) yes they are a good car and yes i drive one. oh just dont get a 350z :)

I was a salesman for Nissan in 04-05 I trust Nissans with my life. I had a wreck in a 05 Maxima my first wreck and we could have died.
I love the fact that these cars are sleepers, people always compare nissans to toyotas, fords to chevy etc but to me every Nissan has horsepowers you car feel. They drive comfortably, and for the options you can get its worth every penny.

No, the cost of parts are incredibly expensive and my experience was that a lot of mechanical problems happened and I had to take the car in a total of 11 times across 2 years. I was so fed up, that I finally decided to trade it in and then lost more money because the value of the car depreciates faster than say a Honda. I would not buy another Nissan, even if they improved.

No, Nissans aren't good cars. If you want a good car then buy a Pontiac, Dodge, Buick, or even a Chevy. Nissans are crap.

yes they are, right now probably one of the best cars on the market as far a dependability goes, and gas mileage, and operating cost.Nissan has over 3 different models that get well over 35 miles to the gallon, right now that makes them look really good ,they are really good cars i have one that's 20 years old,and still gets around 44 miles to the gallon, that's pretty good,it hasn't ever caused any major problems at all, their worth the investment though,if you want something that will last you good, their one of the best, good luck on it.
