MS Word includes several filters for opening files from other programs. Wordperfect is one of them. However, depending on the settings you select when installing Word/Office, the filter may not have been loaded.

If not, you will need to go into the Control Panel, and click the Add/Remove Programs icon. Scroll down the list of installed programs and find Word (or Office if you installed it as part of the suite). Click on it to select it. You should get a "Change" button. Click it

It will begin running the Word/Office install and give you an option to Add Features. You can go add the Filter for Wordperfect files there. You may need to have the original Word/Office CD for the program to add the filter.

Once (or if) the filter is installed, you can start Word, click on File, Open, and in the "File Type" find the Wordperfect file type. It will then display any Wordperfect files and allow you to open them.
