A drug is any substance that alters the way your body performs. This means that Alcohol and Caffeine are both drugs.

yes - alcohol is a depressant. but because it is a legal recreational drug, it does not fall under the federal drug admin., but it does fall under the alcohol-tobacco and firearms authority which controls the making of the drug and with the state controlling agencies being the liquor control board controlling the licensing and distribution.

Yes it is. A drug is anything you put in your body for any purpose other than nutrition - that includes penicillin, aspirin and tylenol, cough medicine, nicotine, opium, heart and blood pressure medicines - even my injectable insulin is technically a drug.
