They are closely related. When we think postive thoughts it streghtens our belief and when we believe we can do.
It also depends on if you are asking about a faith in a diety. That is different. but having faith inourselves and our abilities is to me closely related to positive thinking.

I would say with positive thinking I am relying on myself to get something accomplished. With faith, I'm relying on my Father's guidance to get it done. I like this: Positive thinking?" As he thinks in his heart, so is he.."Prov 23:7.
Faith? "...the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things not seen" "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." Heb.11:1,3. All of Hebrews chapter one gives many biblical accounts accomplished through faith.
I still don't know if I explained it right! Hope it makes sense.

No. Faith is taking what we believe and doing it (Faith without works is dead - read James). Positive thinking is just a mental attitude, really.

No positive thinking is more an attitude similar to hope . faith is an unreasonable belief for no tangible reason.
if one takes their hands off the steering wheel because they believe god will steer for them this kind of belief is faith on the other hand if they have a good attitude they will hope they don't die .

No. Faith is still based on the truth. Positive thinking is based on what you want it to be.

Positive thinking will get the job done... faith is for people whom can't think for themselves... I know God exist, cause I can see what He has created.
