Yes, they should be done fairly close together--neither take much cooking time.

I'm curious to know how you will bake them--in a seafood sauce, cream sauce, in a seafood quiche, in crepes??? At what temperature? They will need moisture with them so that they don't dry out.

When I steam shrimp and scallops, I always have to give the scallops a little more time than the shrimp so I'd imagine it's the same way with baking them.

Yes, unless you're using bay scallops. I'd just lightly pan sautee them with some herbs. Both get rubbery when overcooked.

the shrimp may be done a bit sooner, but I would not worry....if they are fresh it will all be ok, but if they were frozen you should def. defrost them first!
