I'd love to learn how to speak Irish. I tried as a young person to learn it by myself, many years ago, and was unable to get very far. Even though I'm now old I would so like to be able at least to read proficiently in a language with such great literature and poetry and history, a language older than Latin itself yet still spoken in daily conversations by some Irish people.

I would like to perfect my Spanish and learn French or another interesting language such as Norwegian or Dutch. I am taking Italian in the fall though. I love languages!
Does the person above me mean Gaelic? Irish isn't a language, lol.
I'd also like to live in the U.K. and learn the dialect/slang there-- it is quite different from California, but I think it's cute!

French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese sound mellifluous and elegant.
Chinese, Japanese, German and Arabic are quite useful.
But English is both elegant and useful.
