Orhan Pamuk will be reading at the New York Public Library on the 19th. Do you like his novels?

Yeah, I know he's a fellow at Columbia this year. I read "My Name is Red" and "Istanbul", the latter of which I liked better. He gave a talk at my university a few years ago, and he was actually a bit rude--at least he's a good writer. :-)

I won't be there on the 19th, but will be moving to NYC five days later. Whee!

I read White Castle and New Life and I hated both. Orhan Pamuk and I donot agree literaturewise.

i read snow and istanbul, they were both great. Orhan Pamuk was supposed to come to Slovenia last year as well, i was so excited. but a week before arriving he cancelled it :((

Snow was excellent !
only other I read was The Black Book.
