I have a friendly aquaintance and she had a new baby and so I got her some baby outfits and I have been trying to give them to her for about a month now and she has rescheduled on me 4 times now, saying shes too tired for visitors. I work with her hubby and today I told him I would be back up to work later today after I got off work, to give him that stuff and he said ok and when I got there, he was already gone! I was pretty much so mad I was fuming and shaking... it just makes me sick how people are like that! And i cant take the stuff back because I took all the tags off and everything. I am going up there tomorrow morning to try again and after that, that is it! What do you think I should do? Have you ever been so frustrated w/ someone it made you sick to your stomach? Should I stop talking to her?

Your friend has just had a new baby and all honestly there is nothing more time consuming then an infant. They don't sleep through the night, they eat every couple of hours they cry they poop they need they need they need. You have to understand the last thing the mom wants to do is talk to someone socialize or even comb her hair to be in front of people.Yes it sounds exaggerated but it really isn't far off. Both parents are exhausted and forgetful. Give them a little bit more time to adjust,it's really stressful. No one expects it to be so time consuming and tiering. For all you know she could have called her husband home that day you were going to drop off the clothes and he had to go,or he could have just plain ole' forgot. Here's the number one rule of buying baby clothes though, never buy the actual size always buy bigger, that way the child can wear it a bit longer they tend to have such growth spurts. So,by the time you actually give the clothes they may be to small, but then again, they might not.Be patient and gracious. They have a new addition to the family their life will be different, and they will be tired :-) When she actually has time for you,be friendly and understanding.

STep backand think a minute... maybe there is a reason they do not want you to see the child... medical, personal... or maybe they are just tired... parents sometime just want to be alone for the first few months.... give them that space... mail the gift with a nice card.

i think i answer your last post about this. like i said before, why not just drive over and hand them to her? it's very frustrating when this happens so either bite the bullitt and drive over or donate them somewhere. that's about all you can do.

WELL, IF YOU WORK WITH HER HUBBY I WOULD JUST TAKE THEM IN WORK WITH ME & GIVE THEM TO HIM. TELL HIM YOU HAVE ONLY GOT THEM FOR THE BABY YOU DONT WANT TO MITHER THEM AS ITS TIRING HAVING A NEW BABY.
THEN I WOULD DO NOTHING AT ALL UNLESS THEY CONTACTED ME.
