My sister and her boyfriend and there soon to be 3 kids live in NY with us. In September we are relocating to Georgia. We want them to go with us but they refuse to. How can we get them to move with us. Anything would be helpful. Answers or Advise.

Well, why do you want them to move down there? Better job offers...better schools...better housing? To encourage them to go come up with a good list of the top 5 good things this will do to their family. Then show them the list and explain how much better it would be if they relocated with you and your family. Show them pictures of the town in Georgia so they can see what it will be like. You could take a vacation there-but maybe it's too late to go on a 3 or 4 day trip some place out of state. Hey, maybe they can come down for the holidays and they will like it. Anyway, find out why the refuse and see if you can help them change their mind.
But maybe they are not ready to move. If they are not ready, you'll just have to respect their wishes and let them know they are welcome to join you in Georgia if they are to change their minds.

'Hope this helps!

I know you must love your sister very much and want to keep her close to you, but don't you think it would be kind of nice for you and your husband to have your own home with just the two of you ? I think it is time for you to cut the apron strings.

in our family, my grandaughter had to move to texas with her military husband, she invited me to visit and stay. i did. next her sister wanted to leave l.a. she visited and stayed. my daughter wanted a different job. she visited and bought a home and stayed. my daughter in law visited and is now thinking of a way to move here. best friends got out of the army and were looking for a place to settle, came to visit and stayed...notice a pattern? visit, visit, visit
