I see many people lying about what the Catholic Church teaches, believes and practices on here. Obviously they know that what they say are lies but continue to perpetrate these lies. The Bible teaches that this is bearing false witness as well and is against the commandments of God.

Can you feel justified by claiming ignorance or being blinded by hatred or prejudice. What will be your defense before the throne of God when every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess?

You must know that your man-made churches do not have the promises of Christ nor the authority given by Christ to His Church yet you have no fear of the almighty God who created the Church which you protest so falsely. Will your only defense be a dependence on His mercy and do you really think that your ignorance will save you from His judgement?

THE 9th COMMANDMENT
Exodus 20:16 "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour."

Hoagie,

Show me in Scriptures where God has repealed His commandments and we as Christians are no longer obligated to follow them.

You say that there is no such thing as the Church that God created yet Scripture says differently. Do not the Scriptures say that Christ is the cornerstone and the disciples are the twelve foundation stones of the Church? Sounds like Jesus was building a Church, leaving little doubt with His construction vernacular.

Your history is quite twisted. Indeed there were different congregations but all were under the direction of the Bishop. St. Ignatius said that where there is the bishop there is the Church. Whether one believes in a supreme bishop or that all bishops are equal the early Church always acknowledged the bishop of Rome as the first among equals. Therefore, the bishop of Rome being in the seat of Peter held the office of primacy among the bishops. The Church is the organization created by Christ known today and at the end of the first ce

The Church is the organization created by Christ known today and at the end of the first century as the Catholic Church which contains today both sinners and saints.

The Catholic Church has not perverted the commandment of the Sabbath upon their own authority alone but on the authority given to them by Christ which is recorded in Scriptures when Christ said that the Church is given the authority to bind and to loose. We see the Church exercising this authority in the book of Acts by worshipping on the first day of the week.

Yes, to repent is to shun sin and to be of a contrite heart. When a person repents, one hears the words your sins are forgiven. Go and sin no more.

Perhaps you have much to learn as well.

I don't agree with all the teachings of the Catholic Church, but I do sometimes wonder why so many on here say Catholics are not Christians. I think that is wrong and mean. Catholics are entitled to their beliefs as I'm entitled to mine.

You are in error concerning a great many things.

For instance, the commandments of Exodus 20 and Deut. 5 are not the commandments of God.

These commandments were the core of the old covenant between God and Israel with Moses as the mediator. It is therefore known in Scripture as the law of Moses.

Secondly, the church is a spiritual organism made up of those God has given His Spirit to, and not a church corporate. Other congregations besides the one at Rome existed in the latter part of the first century. It was only later that the congregation at Rome attempted to claim primacy over all other congregations throughout the then known world.

If your construct regarding the "church" being the organization run by the Catholic church were true, then all members would be true Christians. Are you prepared to claim there are no "tares" among you?

Please, your post here is an insult to people's intelligence, and an insult to God.

Now, if you still insist these are "God's commandments" then why has the Catholic church perverted the command regarding the sabbath?

Furthermore, to repent is to turn to God, and not your construct to "repent of sin." If you were to but look up all the usages of repent, repentance, etc. you will not find it used in the context of sin.

You have much to learn.

It is written that if thine eye offend thee then pluck it out. and if thy hand offend the then cut it off. For it is better that you enter heaven with out than then go to hell intact. He is not talking about maiming yourself. He is talking about the church. Let he who is wise understand. As far as lying is concerned most of the atheists on here want nothing more than to smash Christianity anyway they can. Lying included.

I have enjoyed a front row seat here in San Diego watching the Diocese run interference for pedophile priests. The Bishop of San Diego cares nothing for Biblical restitution. He cares only for preserving his wealth. I bear true witness to the blatant deception of the Roman Catholic Church.

TEN Commandments

16:” Do not testify falsely against your neighbor.

“And They (Servants of God) do not testify falsely.” (25:72)

Quran orders Muslims not to hide evidence, but to testify truth even if it goes against self or parents or relatives (4:135). Moreover, Quran extends this order for all Believers and does not restrict it to neighbors only (as in Bible).

God's Infinite Mercy

[39:53] Proclaim: "O My servants who exceeded the limits, never despair of GOD's mercy. For GOD forgives all sins. He is the Forgiver, Most Merciful."

[39:54] You shall obey your Lord, and submit to Him totally, before the retribution overtakes you; then you cannot be helped.

[39:55] And follow the best path that is pointed out for you by your Lord, before the retribution overtakes you suddenly when you least expect it.

No. Will you repent your religion's sins against all of humankind? You seem to be judging others; is that not a sin? Does your god ask you for advise?
