I really think that including Hong Kong in the China forum is wrong. We even not need a visa to get there (as Canadian).
How many backpackers will visit Hong Kong in comparison with Bejing? That was a comment! ....

Yes, I think Hong Kong should have its own forum, given that for the purposes of YA, almost everything about it is different from Mainland China.

But it won't have its own forum because it is now 'returned' to China in the One Country Two Systems fashion -- and if HK had its own forum, then so, one could argue, should Tibet... or maybe Xinjiang... and lordy miss claudy we know Yahoo doesn't want to open that can of worms...

Anyway, as Hong Kong is a part of China, it is consistent for it to be included under the China forum.

Yes. Hong Kong and China are different. In general, dangerous products are not sold in Hong Kong. That is why mainlander goes to Hong Kong to buy formula (milk powder) for baby and diapers.

It may be a good idea to have a separate forum for HK and Macao.
Living styles, transportation, English language capability, visa requirement, even the currencies are all different.
