My grandparents are coming to stay with us for a week and they are bringing they're two dogs (a dauchsand and a shitzu). I have a cat. My cat has stayed at their house many times and completley comfertable there. He has a very civil relationship with the dogs, and even sort of likes them. One of the dogs though (the dauchsand) always trys to play with Jaggers when they first meet up again and is very hyper at first. Sometimes the dog chases him, but only in fun, he never hurts him. Jaggers usually just runs somewhere where Pudd can't get him. So I'd just like to know if anyone has any advice for the dogs coming on to kitty's turf. Any tips?

Since the cat and dogs get along well already, there's not much to worry about. But you should make sure that there is a private place your cat can go to (that the dogs can't reach) of he/she is 'chased'.

There really is nothing to worry about. The dogs will respect the cats turf, and I am sure the cat will show them who is boss.

I know my cat sure does! Since they are already familiar with each other i am sure they will get along fine, and I am sure the cat knows a good hiding place if she has had enough!

Hi. I would put your kitty in your bedroom while they are visiting with you.
The pups may "take chase" after your kitty, in an attempt to "herd her" and she may get injured....even though they are on her terf.

Cats can damage their back easily and arthritis can set in....so it is best to keep kitty safe and sound in your bedroom while your grandparents visit, in my humble opinion.

Hope you have a terrific time with your grandparents while they visit with you. All the best, Patti

two dogs and a cat...sounds like a blues band from iowa...
kitty will make it pretty clear that it is kitty's turf...let's hope they mind their manners...
