Don't just get her once because her friends might have one or she's seen yours in the laundry. if she's not that developed you, you might try a cami, or a tank-bra/shelf bra, the undershirts that have the elastic band in them. When I was starting out, I had bras that were similar to a tank bra...but they only went right under the breast where a bra would be and not down the entire stomach. I got them in the girls dept in places like JCPenney. Not sure if they still make them, I never had any little sisters to take shopping with, but I think that was a good start for me back when I was around that age.

and then I shot straight from that to a real bra in a B cup, so every child is different. But she gets to the A and B cups...you should take her to get fitted.

Also having been an only child, my mom was super gung-ho about wanting to be in the fitting room like I was trying on shirt and pants or something. Wait outside the door incase she has any problems clasping them if it's in the back, but don't be in there with her, (I probably would have died from embarassment if the lady in the store didn't suggest it to her) I don't know many girls who are starting to get boobs that actually want their moms seeing them. Just check to make sure it's not too tight and the straps are adjusted properly.

Age isn't really the issue. The question is - has she started to develop? If she has, then, it doesn't matter if she's 10, 13, or 18. (I've had to wear a bra since I was 9) If she hasn't, then offer them - she may want to so she doesn't feel behind her peers.

Yes, a training bra is good at this age. She should already be or will soon develop breasts and you want her to be adjusted to it. I know an 11 year old who is up to a C cup now so those things can pop up quite fast.

Start using a training bra or sports bra when the young lady starts to develop breasts. If that's 13, then go ahead.

Depends on how big her chest is. If she's smaller than an A-cup-sports bra or training bra is best (you should definitely get her a bra though!). I've been wearing full-sized bras since I was eleven, and training bras and such since I was eight. Lots of stores that sell bras (Nordstroms, Victoria's Secret) will measure your daughter, or you can measure her yourself.

if the child has developed enough to wear one then yes. Get a training bra. Take her to get professionally fitted to get the right one.
I was wearing a bra at 9, i wished i had been able to go braless until i was older.

Yeah, pretty much. Although I have seen 10 year old girls wearing bras. Yep. . . Their bra straps are always sticking out.

Sure as long as you can see she is maturing in that area. You know her the best and should go with your feelings on if she is ready. Trust yourself as a parent. Good Luck.
