In this day and age, there is still much we don't know about mental illness.

Mental illness is debilitating and interferes with sleep, relationships and everyday interactions. It can cause loss of job and loss of spouse.

Wanting to be mentally ill is not the same as being mentally ill. Whether you are or not, though, I recommend seeing a counselor or psychiatrist to sort it out. I do not want to dismiss this by saying it is "sophomoritis"--where you take on every symptom of a disease you read about.

Tell your mental health care giver your situation and that you have the desire to be mentally ill; does that make you crazy. A compassionate professional will take you seriously and tell you whether it is or not and why.

Make sure you have a list of all your questions when you go in so you can get them all answered.

We're all crazy in some way or another, cos we're all different. So what if you want to be a SPAZ!
I used to say I want to become an alcoholic, geez, that one was easy, I just had to start drinking! Now, I trying to stop. It's not easy. I think you're sane, but maybe you need some love in your life. Go out more. Best of luck. :)

What do you want the doctor to prescribe you pills so that you are super happy. Maybe bounce off some walls and and you could be prescribed ADHD. I think thats popular right now, like people want to be ADHD. I think you have ADHD. Yep because you are bored and want some novelty, so go to your doctor and get some ritalin. You cant snap out of ADHD.

I really think you should see a doctor. I would think that this is "normal" if there is such a thing. I would like to give away some of my trails and tribulations if you need some to carry. The " good" thing could be, for you at least, is maybe you are crazy and just don't know it! lol

Self diagnosis is not recommended. You usually look for symptoms you don't have.

Remember, everyone is a little weird in their own way - that is to be expected. You don't need to be diagnosed to be weird...come up with new ways to be weird.

I like irony too.

There is actually a personality disorder in which people do this.... It is for attention, and they get off on it. People with mental disorders truly suffer from them and it is not fun or funny. Be happy that you are healthy! Or maybe not? Your thinking is appalling and offensive.
