Don't take it personally! Guys need their space (as does everyone). If you call and he's busy with friends, just let him off the phone without worries. Ask him to call you when he's not busy. If he doesn't call before you go to bed...then you have the right to question him!

But honestly, I remember all of this from before I met Lee... don't take it personaly it's not a big deal at all. Yea he might treat you differently but he's distracted by his friends. It's nothing to get upset about. just blow it off :) boys are different than girls

A girls opinion: Men tend to feel they have to be macho around guy friends. For that reason some of them can act uptight and unemotional when their girl calls and they're out with the boys. More mature men that are comfortable with themself(Usually older out of highschool age.) don't act this way.

What does he do/say that makes you feel like he treats you different? Is he rude? Does he not tell you he loves you? Does he not say baby, ect? Does he make it seem like (to the people around him), that he's talking to one of his "boys", instead of you? If that's the case, then he's probably a player..and you shouldn't be dating him in the first place! If he doesn't treat you with respect all the time, then he is definitely someone you need to cut loose.

Guys like to put on a tough act around their friends and stuff. It's totally not cool for them to be a mushy on the phone like in the middle of a BB game or something. at least that's what my son says..

Address the issue with him. Tell him how you feel before you get upset. He may not know that he is acting different. If he still does it, then maybe he is hiding something from you. Maybe he tells people that you are just a friend and not a girlfriend

some people just don't like being mushy on the phone. i am a girl and i act different on the phone when i am around people i work with and stuff. i just feel like no one really wants to hear my lovey-dovey talk. also some people are just more verbal about their feelings. just because he doesn't say "i love you" all the time doesn't mean he doesn't mean it when he does say it. i only say i love you when i really feel like it, but when i do say it it means a lot. well, if it really bothers you ask him why he does it. if you can't understand his answer then maybe its time to re-think things.

I think when guys are around their friends they like to keep up an image. Even if they're very sweet and romantic with you when it's just the two of you, in front of his friends he wants to seem manly and in charge. Don't get too upset over it. If you bugs you a lot, you can always ask him.

I have a guy friend (who I like more than a friend, please answer that question), and when I called him in the summer, he was kind of weird about it, too. Then again, we aren' going out. Maybe they just don't like talking on the phone. You shouldn't feel upset, just don't call him that often.

It's typical of some guys. They don't want their guy friends to tease them about the girl. Be careful, this could be an indication of his true personality. You will have to decide if you really want to be around someone like that. He should respect you all the time, not just some of it.
