I have a problem, whenever i turn on my computer (winXP)... after the Winxp logo the screen turns black?

usually i restart and it works when this happens but now it doesnt..... when i go to safemode and login in, everything comes up and then just dissapears after 5 seconds (desktop and all)..........the "do you want to proceed with safemode" pops up again and when i hit yes the desktop reapperars... and then dissapears after 5 secons again

Having a blank screen during boot up is a normal part of the process. As long as you get to your desktop and windows starts properly you don't have to be concerned about the blank screens.

Under normal conditions you would not be in safe mode all the time.
