try using an icepack 20 min on and 20 min off, that might help the swelling. if you are worried about an infection and can't see your dentist go to the ER, they can at least give you antibiotics if you need them.

Normally you cheek does not swell afterward. It could have become infected but usually that is painful. It could also be a reaction from the anesthesia. Either way you should contact your dentist b/c they probably need to check it just in case to be sure you do not need antibiotics. It may not have clotted properly and be developing an infection instead. Staph infections are becoming increasingly popular from households sharing their germs.

People give you reasons.
I give you ANSWERS.
The thing to do now that you have is two-fold

1. use hot moist compresses, such a washcloths placed in the microwave for 1 minute and applied to the swollen are for 20 minutes on and 20 off.
Also the use of of Advil. This is an anti-inflammatory medication.

A little swelling and pain is normal.
It should go away within a couple of days.
If not, call the dentist; that's his job.
