It is easier to teach prophecy that has been fulfilled. But in reality, I believe that the true Christians will be gone from here for the tribulation. But we can look at the prophecy in Matthew that Jesus would be the sign of the end coming and comparing it with Revelation. But beware, I have heard preachers "twist" it around a little. Just very small things. But this is why we are to study the scriptures for ourselves.

I live in Bumpkinviville. I searched for years for a church and have been to a lot of them in this area.(Moved here in 01). I've been going to my church for 2 years, now. I can't speak for other preachers, but as for mine.... I'm not so sure that it's just not over his head. It would be over the head of the preachers of some of these other churches around here also. I think some feel that's it's so up to interpretation, and they don't feel that they have that gift.Someone in Sunday School this week said they would like to have a study of end time prophesy. My pastor preaches the class. We'll see. I took him a book by D. James Kennedy and a book by David C. Gibbs, and asked him if he reads and he said "No, not outside material" I took that to mean, material other than the Bible. It really kind of bothered me that my preacher doesn't read. I'm all the time asking God "why I'm at this church?" I feel I am where he wants me to be but so much about the church is against my personal style and preference. Do you think I could think God placed me somewhere, when really he didn't?I'm not saying that my pastor is a bad pastor or anything. I'm just saying that his sermons tend to be a little simple. Boy I know thar's a lot of info off the subject of the question. God bless!!

I agree , that seems to be the fad now, but Thank God that there are still some churches that preach the Gospel . have to remember though not all churches are true churches, and not all preachers are true preachers. which goes along with what the Bible says will happen in the latter days. and a lot are not hot or cold , just just stuck in the middle. maybe one day Christian will stand back up and quit just setting in their churches just wanting to be made to feel good . you know , and fight the good fight. But no matter what , in the end God's Will Be Done. Praise God.

specific, you need to look for out a church which claims Jesus is the answer....he's the way, the actuality, and the existence, and no different existence is an determination for a real Christian. some human beings will declare that presents of money, sacrifice in direction of the church, and so on. will carry you prosperity, and jointly because it must be real that by giving to others, you in addition to mght bless your self, that's no longer the finished answer. Jesus pronounced, "i'm the way, the actuality and the existence. no person involves the Lord different than by me."John 14:6. for this reason, look for out a church who you believed is stuffed with the Presence of God, that is, the Holy Spirit. It does not unavoidably must be a great church, it does not must be the richest. concentration on the individuals, and be advantageous to ask in some unspecified time contained sooner or later, "What do you have faith is the answer to sadness that prevails in a lot of human beings's lives?" or a matching question....the respond must be Jesus, in some shape of form. try heavily, and don't criticize. you need to be in a snug atmosphere for worship, so evaluate the ambience besides.

I think that it is very important to have the word of God when teaching. I wouldn't go to church if the Pastor didn't use the bible. I follow along in my bible while he reads it to make sure no words are being twisted. Revelations is very hard to teach You would have to have a real Pastor that God set forth to teach it. I've only met one that could do so.

No! I am not content with that!
I always confront all the wrong teachings especially the one that twisted scripture to fit someone's agenda!

Prophesy can be hard to understand. We want cut and dried rules and facts. It's also hard because so many people try to analyze prophesy too much, instead of reading it in common-sense understanding.

Well Jesus said he would be back in the lifetime of the apostles. I don't think that would be something that you would want to dwell on since he is a few thousand years late.
