Get lots of snacks and have lots of games ready. Try www.birthdaypartyideas.com and click on kids slumber parties. Here are some great tips:
Call the parents and check to make ask each parents about allergies, bedwetting, sleep talking/walking, etc
Right after everyone arrives show them where they will be sleeping and where the bathrooms are. etc.
Explain the rules to them right away tell them if there is unacceptable behavior yes they will have to leave.
Put some games out to play though out the night,
Stay out of there way.

When my daughter had her first slumber party, I made sure to get the girls to sleep by 11pm. Otherwise they are overtired and can't hold it together any longer. Once the get too tired they cry and want to go home and then you are calling parents at midnight to come pick up their kids. Start at 10pm and plan to have them asleep by 11pm. I actually had to go stay in the room with them to make sure they went to sleep. This worked for us!
Another mom I know just let the girls run wild and she was calling parents late that night. If you do have one that is homesick, try distracting her with a game. It will calm her down fast.
Good Luck!

The first slumber party I went to, the girl's dad played his violin for us. He knew so many fun folk songs and it was mezmerizing to watch him play and listen to that LIVE music.
Do you know anyone that plays an instrument that would come and give a mini-concert? Just another idea for your repertoire. Good luck!

Don't know if you have a Michael's in your area, but in my area they have foam koozies for 50 cents a piece and you can buy foam stickers and have each child decorate their own koozie. My kids loved that one.
