It would help to know exactly what the problem is. Is it a focusing problem? An exposure problem? A composition problem?

I'll give it a go anyway.

If its focusing, practice focusing on a newspaper. When you can read it clearly in the viewfinder its in focus.

If its exposure, are you using some sort of Program mode? If so, the camera should select the right shutter speed and f-stop. Unless you've somehow moved the EV setting to a PLUS or MINUS value which could cause over or under exposure. If its manual metering, you have to set the f-stop and shutter speed according to the meter. Some cameras have a circle and a "pointer" that you center in the circle by changing f-stop or shutter speed. Some cameras have a bracket (sort of looks like this ]) that you center the "pointer" in. Again, you could have the EV setting at PLUS or MINUS which would result in over or under exposure.

If composition is the problem, in your mind "draw" a tic tac toe grid across the viewfinder - 2 horizontal lines and 2 vertical lines "dividing" the viewfinder into thirds. Keep your subject in the right or left or upper or lower third.

I hope this has helped. If not, re-post with more detail as to what your problems are.

i used to be a photography. some tips are.
1. when you're taking a picture of something that is reflecting off something, take off the flash.
2. when you're taking pictures of, small objects/animals, you should switch your lenses to micro.
3. having your camera the direction, that the picture would look the best is good. you shouldn't have it diagonally left a bit when you're taking a lanscape picture.
4. black and white picures are okay, but to really make a picture stand out is C O L O R S.
so try to get a program in your computer, upload those pictures, and make the color more vivid.
5. always have a steady hand, while you're taking a picture.
6. you can't just take anything out of the ordinary and slap it down as your work. photos need to catch someone's eye and they're like "oh, wow this is beautiful" so, just really work on the settings !
7. if you're going to have the picture black and white, choose a main thing in the picture, like if you did a person, you could choose the shirt, try to color in the shirt, so it makes the picture more outstanding.
8. don't shoot at the sun, unless you have those sun protector.

sorry this is all i could think of right now.
i'm a bit tired from my day. i hope you use some of my experiences! good luck!
