I don't mind telling what I do. My reward will be enough just to get to heaven. I have served as Pastor, teacher and missionary. I am finishing up a degree in Biblical Studies in December and then its back to work for me. Wherever God sends me.

You hook up with a group, and help!
Christianity is about "working together" for the general well-being of others.
More hands make light work, ya know.
And when you read the Bible you really do learn the difference between "you", "me" and
"they". Oh! I forgot I also learnt it in school.
Have you got any organisations that you belong to that go to foreign countries and help. And if so, why are you not there at the moment, instead of driving us all mad on Yahoo.
And yes, we do do things, and give money away to people and don't talk about it, because it's between us and God. Chrstianity is giving Jesus Christ the glory. Why must we boast.? I don't even tell other Christians some of the things I do for people or if I give people money, clothes or food.
So because we dont distinguish between we, they and us, you get picky. One thing, I worked WITH people for the last two years, twice a week, at a drug rehab, and we would feed the girls and guys and try help them over their addictions, and there were also older homeless people who used to come along. Feeding about 30 - 40 people takes team effort.

Has it occurred that "you" Christians and "they" Christians can mean the same thing? Meaning that "those" Christians do go out in missionary work to other countries, some volunteer for assistance to the poor, a few of "them" belong to these organizations.
So, what do YOU do to help the less fortunate?

i'm Jewish, no longer Christian, and this replaced into 6 years in the past, yet i visit respond to in spite of the undeniable fact that. have you ever examine the e book of job? job replaced right into a non secular guy who feared G-d, He had a large existence earlier each thing, yet devil advised G-d to take it away to be sure if he could nevertheless worry him. job felt depressing, and his existence became adverse. Does that advise he wasn't a guy of G-d? No. So having melancholy does not make you any much less of a Christian. (job wasn't Christian, yet it particularly is because of the fact he existed earlier Christ replaced into ever born.) suffering is purely component to existence. that isn't any longer constrained to sinners. every person, inspite of religion, can go through.

What is brought out into the world and is rewarded here on earth shall not be so in heaven what you do here keep between Jehovah,Jesus & yourself and in the next life you shall be rewarded for these selfless acts, acts of kindness, charity..Christians do not seek rewards, honors, gifts given by manking but those given to them by out father in heaven.

Hmm, not sure. On the one hand we don't generally like to talk about our own personal achievements because we feel like we're gloating...but on the other hand, a lot of Christians are more talk than action when it comes to helping others.

that's a major over statement as i have never said what others are doing when someone asks me what i personally do
i tell them some of the things that i do with my church and invite them to join in, this is a way to bring people to know god and it brings more to help others
so don't use exaggerations to prove a point because you are wrong!!

Word games and semantics.
Perhaps the individual would rather be seen as part of the group? Perhaps the individual did not want to be seen as having "pride" in his/her acts of kindness?

They don't need to brag about what they do to feel like they have done something good.
They give God the glory.
Christians understand the difference between "you" and "they" just fine.

I could tell you of things that I do, but I consider it for the Lord, so I seek no glory of my own. Jesus gets the Glory.
