Been a huge bobby labonte fan since i was 9 (1998) and consider myself a diehard labonte fan. At the time, I never could have imagined that his 2003 season finale win at homested may be his last in the cup series. sure hes won a truck race and a busch race since, but it just isnt the same as a cup win. he has had great success with randolph the past 3 weeks (9th, 8th, 11th) but i am really starting to doubt that bobby can actually WIN. of course i still feel he can finish top 10, but there is a BIG difference between the winner and the 10th place car. SO DO YOU THINK BOBBY STILL HAS IT IN HIM TO WIN AT LEAST ONE MORE TIME IN THE CUP SERIES?

Definatly yes ! Give Bobby & Doug time to get to know each other. You said it yourself that they've had 9th ,8th and 11th place finishes . Have some faith in your long time favorite .You can't expect instant success with a new crew chief. I honestly think that they show A LOT of promise and if not this year ,then next year you will see Bobby in victory lane and next year if he remains consistent you'll see him in the 2008 Chase . I mean consistency is what gets you into the Chase and right now these last few race's Bobby is just that .

I mean look at Bobby's stats here before Dough came into the picture

BTW...Doug is from the town where I live .

How can you be a fan and ask that question.

Bobby will win again. He has the determination and a winning attitude. Loomis has made great improvements and for the last 3 weeks Bobby has finished 11th or better. Petty is building a new facility closer to Charlotte and has done a ton of research especially with the COT. And with the addition of a new CC, things are only going to get better for him.

Bobby has another thing going for him, he is a TEXAN! And as a TX gal myself, we go for what we want and we never give up.

I wouldn't be surprised if he won this year even, but I guarantee he will be in victory lane next year.

Keep up the good work Bobby, your fans are proud of you!

Bobby was NasCar's champion in 2000. He won the last race under the Winston title. Does he still have what it takes? Absolutely!! He has improved from day one with Petty and the 43 with him behind the wheel will be in winners circle next year if not this year. He still has at least 8 - 10 years left as a driver and he will be in contention for another cup champion within five years.

i could prefer to work out him win back too,yet to be straightforward i don't see it going on.he isn't a undesirable driver by ability of any ability, yet with the group he's making use of for now,I doubt he can do it.If he ever gets yet another great-call holiday,i think of that a minimum of he could desire to get some solid finishes and doubtless even a win, even with the shown fact that it is not going that any of the bigger communities will ever take him in back. inspite of the group he's in now, there remains *some* desire that he could desire to attain a great disenchanted. If that have been ever to ensue,it would probable be at a restrictor-plate race like final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days's Daytona 500,the place he got here so on the brink of prevailing.i does not get my hopes up too plenty, yet that's continuously a hazard. Labonte could desire to have plenty greater opportunities for that very final win, through fact at 40 8,he isn't extraordinarily previous those days, and NASCAR drivers have a tendency to stay aggressive until they're 50 years previous or so(or ninety 4 in Mark Martin's case:D). to place it basically,an disenchanted is often obtainable,so which you mustn't supply up desire, even with the shown fact that it extremely is basically unlikely. i'm hoping i've got helped.

I'd say the best shot he probably has this year is Talladega, he knows how to race there and if he does what he did in the aarons 312, he just might win. And besides, you see cars that dont normally lead in other races lead on restrictor plate tracks.
Hopefully Bobby will be able to win more than one more time

Absolutely!!!! Bobby Labonte is a great driver and a great Champion!!! He still has the desire to win and will win again! I don't think he would be out there racing every weekend if he didn't. He still loves racing, still has fun and will ALWAYS be a great driver!

Go RCR!!!
Go Jeff Burton!!!

I think he can. I think now Petty is on a roll with Bobby at the helm. He has been having some good running and excellent finishes.
I think sometimes drivers fall into a rut and begin to doubt their own abilities. I believe that if Bobby continues to have good finishes he will regain his confidence and get to the winners circle. I was sorry to see him leave Gibbs, but I think he's on the right track now.

Yes!

When Petty Enterprises build their new shop in Concord everything will get better. They will then be able to hire more of the top level mechanics and engineers. I know a bunch of guys that live around me that would work there but they don't want to drive that far. Things will get better!

Has has been getting better and if the team can keep up the work, yes he could. Bobby could use a more competitive teammate.

He can still win races but not in a Petty car. They have improved but not that much.
