I'd hardly call that an "emergency"!
If the fruit salad is fresh cut, then leave it as-is. Add miniature marshmallows to "cut" the acidity.
If the fruit salad is from a can, what do you need the extra juice for???

Unless you want really wet and juicy salad, leave it out. The fruit will natural give up juice after sitting for a while. You could end up with a fruit soup if you added the juice.

NO. It will make it soggy. If you want to draw out the liquid in some of the fruit, you can add a little sugar. That will draw out some of the liquid in fruit (like strawberries and oranges) and make a syrup that coats the fruit and makes the fruit salad really delicious.

You can add the juice right before serving... ex lemon, lime fruit dressing, liquor... but never store it in juice... the water will soak back into the fruit and make it soggy.

If you are adding bananas and apples, yes. They will turn brown if they are left alone. A little orange juice or something with some acid will keep them fresh.

i usually put a splash of lemon juice in to keep the apples and bananas from turning brown, but not a bunch of juice.

Sure, I'll squeeze a little orange juice. Some put in a little liquor (which I don't like)

well if the juice is liquor and youd like it all to marinate and get happy then pour away! other than that it will create its own juice. a splace of lime/lemmon for holding color wolnt hurt.
