Does anyone know of a sandwich type bread recipe, without gluten, yeast or sugar, that is made without a special commercial mix.

I can make cornbread, muffins, crapes and waffles, but I can't find a decent sandwich type bread. The bread just crumbles, is very heavy and has no flavour.

I don't know where to post this type of question.

Does anyone know of a gulten free, unsweetened bread recipe that can be used for sandwiches?

One that possibly uses baking powder, baking soda, egg or whatever instead of yeast.

I have an intolerance for gluten and sugars, lactose, maltose, dextrose, on & on. I can't tolerate an IV laced with glucose.

I have multiple allergies both food & environmental. Such as grasses (sugar cane), yeast, dairy again on & on.

Being gluten intolerant I have already tried the few available recipes from the sites that skaizun provides in his search.

90% are sweet bread, some I use for muffins. If some are watered down they make waffles, pancakes and crepes, the rest of the recipes use yeast and sugar.

I would just like to be able to eat a sandwich, or have bread with soup etc.

I tried a bread machine and some flours are heavy and sink to the bottom before the bread is cooked, so the bread has multiple textures. And the use of the binders (flaxseed, xanthum gum etc) make the bread gooey especially when warm.

I know Kinninnick has a frozen yeast free gluten free sandwich bread I like but I cant verify the sugar status. Its at most health food stores. They had a beta website running, u can see if it still works, www.beta.kinninnick.com. Or google Kinninnick.
Good luck!

Looks like skaizun gave you some good ideas. I would suggest buying a bread maker. They mix the ingredients and cook it in one cooker. It comes with lots of bread receipes. Including gluten and yeast free. I do have one question. Why do you feel the need for gluten and yeast free bread? I know some people are allergic to those ingredients, but what is your case?

There is no one single Paleo Diet, as our ancestors from all over the world ate dramatically different diets depending on the climate where they lived, their landscape, accessibility to water bodies, and the latitude that they lived. This is a detailed meal plan for the paleo diet https://tr.im/sq8II

In some cases, a Paleo Diet may be 90% plant foods and 10% animal foods, and in other cases, a Paleo Diet may be 90% animal foods and 10% plant foods.

For example, our ancestors that lived near the equator had year long access to more plant materials such as root vegetables and various fruits, veggies, and nuts.

On the other hand, our ancestors that lived at higher latitudes further away from the equator only had access to fruits and vegetables seasonally at one specific time period per year, and had larger periods of the year where they ate a higher % of meats, organ meats, fish, and other animal-based foods, or fermented foods that could be stored for winter.

Check out the links, below, and save a loaf for me!
(the bread kind of loaf, not the lazy, good-for-nothing kind!) ;)

BTW, the word is "crepes".

P.S. This sub-forum is okay, but you might have been better off posting it in "Home > Food & Drink > Cooking & Recipes".
