Thank you for the link. That website put a smile on my face. When we get back to the states, we are definately buying some stickers from them.
I felt saddend by all of this since Sept. 11, 2001. I feel saddend that people think that all Musliims are terrorists because of a small group of brain-washed Muslims killed alot of Americans and many others around the world. Now the people that are so blinded by fear and anger, they branded Islam as a religion of violence and all Muslims are terrorist murderers. I guess they dont stop to think of all the Muslims that live and work normal lives with families. Because of Sept. 11, 2001 these peaceful American Muslims live in fear because of angry non-Muslims, because of the Al-Qaeda.

Im sure that all my friends here know of my "pre-owned" posting i found in 2003.

"Islam is, beyond doubt, a religion of peace. The Holy Quran is a testimony to that. Without singling out any one community, it is acknowledged with the utmost regret that there has been mindless violence in the name of Islam. In what way can individuals square it in their minds is a most personal matter for them, one only they can answer. The Holy Quran teaches us that each soul is accountable for what it earns in this world. Islam believes that God taught all major religions. Indeed, all religions preach non-violence against innocent people. However, there are followers in the world of all religions practice terrorism. I shall not go into the details of it; I do not believe I need to. However, in the present age, the media invariably highlights terrorist acts by Muslims, although a Muslim who commits heinous crime is, no exception. The mind of all religious fanatics thinks it is doing a meritorious job! Islam does not promote violence. Any religious teachings can be perverted in the mind of a believer. Almost always there are underlying strong motives; political, racist, or good old-fashioned revenge, based on hate. That blurs the thought process of an individual or a group and they view their heinous acts as meritorious screening their negative passion with the cloak of religion. Indeed, throughout history, many a tormenting crimes have been committed in the name of religion. It has been and still is a most unfortunate universal phenomenon."
Islam = Peace
Bismillah (in the name of GOD)
~Assalamu Alaykuum (peace be with you)

Hey I'm a Muslim.

Islam comes from the Arabic word, "salam," which means peace. This peace is acquired by submitting one's will to Almighty God. You cannot judge Islam because of the actions of a few people. For example, Timothy McVeigh, known as the "Oklahoma City Bomber," was a Catholic. Based on his actions, I cannot say that Christianity teaches people to blow up buildings and murder people. It is wrong to do that! I'm aware that people find some verses of the Qur'an to be violent, however, these people never look at the context of the verses. When you take verses out of context (which is happening quite often today), look at what happens! One can take verses from the Bible or the Torah, making them appear to be very violent books, filled with hatred, but that is not true! There are good Muslims and there are bad Muslims. There are good Christrians and there are bad Christians. There are good Jews and there are bad Jews. Violence is against every teaching of Islam. Also, no where in the teachings of Islam does it approve of terrorism. Islam is very peaceful and tolerant. The "Muslims" who are murdering innocent people and destroying families are only Muslims by name.

I hope my answer has cleared up a misconception on Islam.

Thank you for your time.

Good question. They deny because they don't know the facts. Most of the subscribers here are interested in 2 points from Yahoo instead of seeking the truth. Unfortunately Muslim media is still non-existant or not so active to promote the facts about Quran or other Muslim activities. Islam is still a mystry for other faiths. What you understand and recall "the Proven scientific miracles of Quran" has not yet reached to them hence you should realize the knowledge and understanding of others before asking such questions. However I agree with your views.

A very good post, and a good start. But I agree with others on here that it's a little late so you'll have to do some really LOUD protesting to change perspectives. But keep it up. God bless you.

People, can we drop Tim McVeigh? Every time somebody wants a Christian terrorist to point at , they drag him out, because he's practically the only one nowadays. Like he's some kind of excuse for Islamic terrorism. It's kind of pathetic.

As a Christian, I'm glad to hear what you say. God bless you.

I think you understand the problem: That Americans see many demonstrations of support for terrorists among Muslims, but very little protest against them. Arranging mass protests is the way to change perceptions.

The 6th anniversary of 9/11 will be here in a few days. What took you so long? The outcry, protesting and rioting over a cartoon was immediate. The protesting, threats and killing over a quote by The Pope was immediate. Excuse me if I doubt your intentions. I think you are trying, a little too late, to appease people.

I don't believe all Muslims are terrorists. I do believe islam justifies and calls for terrorism.

God Bless.

I apologize for any anti muslim views that I may have put on this site. I do know not all muslims are terrorists but I will jump on fundamentalists who are trying to deter my way of life(fundamentalists in any religion) like a cat jumps on a rat. Thank you for posting this. I will show this to ANY anti islam person I ran into. But I would never dare say all muslims are terrorists. That would be just plain stupid.

As salaamu 'alaikym warahmatullahi wabaraktuh, my friends.

Ash hadu an laa ilaha ill-Allaah, wahadau la sharika lah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa Rasuluh.

Insha'Allah, I am a Muslim. Insha'Allah, I am an American citizen, born in this country.
Insha'Allah, I am speaking out against all acts of terroism by anyone but especially against those who profess to be Muslims yet act in a manner that is against the teachings of the Holy Qur'an and the lived example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be uopn him, his family and his true followers).

Isha'Allah, I have starred this question.

Those who feel that all terrorist are Muslim should recall Northern Ireland, the white supremist in this country and the Oklahoma City bombings, to name but a few.

It is alwasya better course of action to study what one wants to critque prior to doing so. IN that way, one may come to better understanding of the same and necessarily change ones stance prior to saying that which is not supportable.

Hate, bigotry, jealousy and racism is a poor substitute for knowledge, understanding and compassion coupled with kindness and respect for others, or so we have been taught by the Holy Qur'an, the Sunna Hadiths and the lived example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be uopn him, his family and his true followers).

Let us al strive to work together towards the mutual benefit of all persons regardless of thier race, religion, color, creed or place of national origin.
ma'a salaam.

offthemenu3, not all terrorists are Muslims. Have you already forgotten Timothy McVeigh? He was just one of many terrorists of other religions. He was a Christian, although not a very devout one. His motivation was political, not religious, which I think is also true of many of the Muslim terrorists, whether they admit it or not. Like some of our own leaders, unfortunately, they use religion as a smokescreen to make their cause appear more righteous than it really is.

I don't think ALL Muslims are terrorists. I recognize there are extremists in Islam just like there are in other religions.

I once studied Islam. I practiced it lightly for about a month before I decided it wasn't the right religion for me.
