I would go with a different colored comforter. What does the floor look like? If it's a light carpet, then contrast the comforter with a dark color. Green or teal perhaps. Make sure your poster is on a different wall than your black and white pictures. Now, if you go with dark peach walls or another color that's dark, keep the white comforter. It's hard to say without a picture. Good luck.

Everyone else has very good ideas. I was just going to suggest if you dont already have an old movie poster go to this website http://www.allposters.com/-st/Vintage-Art-Posters_c2152_.htm it has some really cool old vintage looking posters, not necessarily movies, but they are still pretty cool looking I have the one that looks like a tall champagne glass with a woman next to it and I LOVE it! Anything you hang definitely needs to be framed, it makes the room look finished. Good Luck and have fun with it.

1] get curtains in white, peach, or combo of both
2] frame art in all brass, or all chrome, to make them work together
3] get decorative pillows in colors/textures: peach velvet, white lace, gold or silver satin for bed and chairs
4] consider a 'hollywood' vanity - dressing table with a white ruffled skirt [ even better if it matches bedskirt ]. - this will tie the whole Hollywood theme together. Be sure to get a pretty bench or chair for it!
5] Add some peach, and gold or silver accessories for dressing table, dresser, desk, nightstand. If anything doesn't 'match', store it in a box/jar/container/drawer.
6] a vase of flowers or potted plants
It will look pretty and classic, without being juvenile.

if you do the poster thing i suggest you buy some cheap crown molding and spray paint it silver or gold
or even have it be kinda lacey wroght iron and paint it black or white and finish it off with some green + gold for like a rusty kinda look
anyways I LOVE to FRAME old movie posters...right now i have spice world framed with amazingly cheep molding i bought at a garage sale in my living room and everyone who comes over admires it quite a bit
as for the peach idea...if you like peach go with it...but i would go less orange and more pink and maybe sponge a bit of pink ontop of orange or orange ontop of peach to give it more dimmension
go for like cobalt blue accents and fire engine red decorations and maybe a light green or periwinkle bedspread
and as for your black and white pictures...PLEASE don't just tack them on the wall!!! maybe you could buy some lovely ribbon and lace them up into several long picture ropes to embelish one of your walls :)
have fun! and don't be affraid to be eclectic
i'm very mod with an indian/arabic twist embrace your style and you will love your room!
edit WAIT
i love the white bedspread idea!!! you can go for a really crisp look if you keep bedspread and drape your windows in shear tafeta!!! very delicate
stick with blue and red as focal colors but keep everything else rather neutral and beachy looking.....and please do try framing your posters! you will be amazed

Personally, I would go with a stronger color. Light peach will make it too pastel(wimpy, wimpy, wimpy)...I would go with a more pumpkin color or in a totally different direction...a medium grey-green with not too much white in it or it will get pastel again.
