Whenever I go to this japanese restaurant, they always serve some sort of veggie sticks (usually carrots, cucumbers, and celery) with this AMAAAAZING dip. It's a white mixture with little itty bitty pieces of carrots and this other green thing (lol, I never really paid any attention to what it was).

Is there a name for this? Recipe?

I don't know, either. Why not ask the restaurant? Better yet, ask them if you can buy a tub of it. I did that to my favorite restaurant. They have this peanut, hummis, yummy thing they make and you dip cucumbers in it... I crave it in the middle of the night... It's SO good it's like they put crack in it! I buy a tub f it from them every week. I'm one of their best customers, lol.

It is probably Miso dressing:
1/4 cup miso
2 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp minced fresh ginger OR 1 tsp ginger powder
water as needed (optional)
Combine all ingredients using a blender or food processor. If mixing by hand, use a fork or whisk and beat until smooth.
Add a bit of water, a teaspoon at a time, if desired, for a thinner consistency.

It is also available in jars in most grocery stores where they have Asian foods. Good Luck!
