according to my dentist my teeth are A1, the color he used to make my temps, which is the 2nd whitest shade. when i got my crowns in the were a couple of shades darker than my temps because they were side by side on the tray. he pulled out the shade guide and readjusted it to B1 (whitest shade) because the crowns were too dark (i think the lab made a mistake and gave me a darker shade instead of A1). I went in today for the crowns (metal infused) and they are too white. i don't think i can get my other teeth that white even tho i've been told my teeth are really white.the crowns are for two of my top teeth which are side by side and on the inside (towards my tongue) they are really short just like the way he grinded them down for the root canal. the rest of my teeth are not this way. when he was adjusting the bite he started grinding down on my natural bottom teeth. the crowns feel and look bulky to me and i think that are definately longer on the outside.........

one crown is sticking out compared to the crown in the front of it which is still very bulky.i called him about my issue and said he would adjust the bite.
to me the bite is fine, but the teeth aren't. over the phone he says they are not bulky, but they only look that way because the teeth are whiter. what else can i do??? he can't fix the bite? the teeth are too bulky even tho he says they aren't, but it's my mouth and my teeth and i have lived with them for 25 years.

he gave me attitude on the phone and spoke over me even though i said it was the lab's fault. my temps looked way better than what i have now. he said he will fix the bite and if i'm not happy he will fix the crowns, but like i said the bite is fine. did he do wrong by grinding down my natural teeth also? what would you do? i know i am right about my teeth. i don't want to risk another lab mishap. i have been patient with him and he has called me a good good patient lol. is it possible that everything feels off because the lap didn't make the inner teeth match the other teeth length? i can't believe the first time he tried to put in darker teeth and now they are chiclet candy white

my best friend said when she got her crowns they didn't have to adjust the bite at all. also this dentist is a private dentist and i used insurance to pay for things and also made payments for what they wouldn't cover

First you need to get a second opinion. You cannot blame all of it on the lab, because they do what is communicated to them by the dentist. It sounds like the teeth are too opaque and may need some translucency, or they now have shades whiter than A-1 or B-1 called bleach shades, did they use these shades? Has your dentist discussed all ceramic crowns? No metal under them. If the metal under them is non-precious you will eventually get a black line on the gum line from the metal in the crown. Hope this helps.

Ask your dentist for a complete refund and if he cannot make them less bulky you will find someone that will. Did you pay after he put the teeth in. Just let him know that you are reporting him to the dental society and to the insurance company. That same thing happened to my niece and the dentist gave her money back and she kept the new crowns until she could afford new ones which she recently got and they are perfect. You would believe what happened to me and honestly I have a question out on dental.

B1 is way too light unless you are getting a whole mouth done and they are still too light. The one you saw that you thought was dark was probably the wrong shade. Usually dentist make you sign something if you want B1 as only Dianna Ross goes for that color. Full refund but dentist get away with everything there is no control over dentist or the management companies who mange condos. Our government lets these people get away with everything. That is why dentist have the highest suicide rate; I met some just recently that deserve to be hung; suicide is too good for them. Best of luck to you.
