for me i love that googly eyed look my son gives me when he is full of mommy milk, or when he stops mid-latch just to shoot me the biggest smile in baby history!

***mommys that dont nurse PLEASE feel free to answer as well, i will modify it for you.....Please just specifly if you bottle feed
What is your fave part of bottle time???****

& im not preaching about breast vs. bottle, this is just about what your fave part of "meal" time is! Im just curious about what nursing mommies value the most about nursing.

I love that I just have to roll over to feed my baby. No waking up and getting out of bed!

You are so very right about the look that your baby can give you. You know that there is a bond going on there that no other can match. It is so amazing when they first learn where their source of substance is coming from. My little one would hold onto me and caress the side of my breast. Little did I know, this was causing even more stimulation of the flow of the milk. Then she would take a deep breath and sigh. Sometimes I would just tremble because I felt so fulfilled and so loved by this little, warm bundle of joy. Her father often felt removed because he would observe our feeding and sit next to me and rub my shoulders and he's say that this was a 'picture from heaven' but only a mother and child could understand.

My favorite part would be this picture. The three of us sitting together, talking, or listening to our favorite jazz music and watching SKY.

Sadly, this time was shortened because she would bite the nipple and cause it to bleed. When she did that - our physician advise not to try feeding again. I had to go to bottle feeding but we shared several months of this loving and affection and I will never forget it.

Great question.

That happy, milk drunk look is the best! My daughter will let go and smile and coo and laugh until I pay attention to her. It's frustrating when I'm trying to feed her and get out the door, but you just can't help but feel good when you see that big smile!

Second best would have to be the instant end to all things sad as soon as she sees me go to lift my shirt. When she won't calm down for her dad, I tell him I'm gonna use my "secret weapons" to calm her down!

I also think it's pretty amazing that for the past 13 months, my body has completely provided for her. It amazes me what the human body can do!

I like how you have food with you all the time. It is also very nutrious which is in my book. The only diffcult part is trying to feed without showing everything.

I agree, I love the "milk drunk" look they get when they are full. It's the best.
