There is a vitamin called Biotin, it is a B vitamin that helps your hair and nails grow healthy. I have found with myself and certain clients of mine, that the hair actually grows almost twice as fast. You can purchase biotin anywhere you buy vitamins. Avoid prenatal pills if you can, the only thing that helps your hair in that is the B vitamins, so you might as well just take the simpler form. Prenatal pills have been known to make people ill if they don't need all that.

Although, be aware that hair only grows 1/2 in a month. Biotin is not a guaranteed speedy hair growth solution, but it is known to help. Be gentle on your hair, get regular trims. If you use heat, use a heat protectorant, like Chi Iron Guard.

I have tried finding this out online but haven't been able to.
My theory:
Each hair on your head is genetically programmed to fall out at a certain time, I think it's around 2 1/2 years. Your hair can't possibly grow more than say 1/2 inch a month. So depending on how fast your hair grows and how often you trim it, your hair can only grow so long (since they all fall out at a certain point).
I think really long hair points to a genetic abnormality in the person and most people are incapable of growing it that long.

Since hair is made of protein eating foods that are high in protein will help.
Also something else that will help is prenatal vitamins. I seen hair grow twice as fast with them as without.
I've been a licensed cosmetologist for thirty years.
Hope this helps.

Lots of time and lots of healthy food.

That being said, not all peoples hair will grow that long. My grandmother told me that her hair would not grow past her shoulder blades.

to have such a long hair, you need strongness of the hair..

put proper oil on your haed for two to three hour on every or alternate day...

and use pure oil rather than perfumed hair oil. this will result in long and strong hair.
