A lot of their beliefs are the same. One difference is that Pentacostals believe in speaking in tongues and Baptists don't. Pentacostals are also more animated in their worship. They clap and wave their arms and speak during the service where Baptists don't. Most TV preachers are Pentacostal. Baptists are a lot more reverant. Just different styles of worship. Probably the biggest difference is that Bapts believe in once saved always saved and the Pents don't. That means that once you have recieved God's gift of salvation that it can't be taken away from you. The Pents believe that you can be saved at one time in your life but if you drift away from God you can become unsaved, that's kind of how a Pent minister friend of mine put it. I am Bapt and I believe that is fundamentally wrong. Salvation is a gift from God. You must ask God for that gift and he will give it to you. You can't earn salvation by your works and I see no where in the Bible that it states that you can be unsaved by your works either. It is a gift from God, not something you earn. God is not going to take away the gift he has given you. Now that should not be taken as a license to sin. Once you are saved you are supposed to try to behave in a way that glorifies God. Those are probably the biggest differences.

Pentecostals believe in and utilize the 'gifts of the Holy Spirit'. While the Baptists don't believe that they are meant for us to 'experience' today. There may be other differences, however this is the most significant one I know of.
