Ok..so I ran a 5k Race about 4 days ago, and my ankle still hurts from it. Yesterday at cross country practice it hurt soo much after we did striders, and I could barely walk on it. When I got home, it was swollen. Today I can walk on it and its not swollen anymore, but it still hurts when I go down stairs and theres a sort of a dull ache. I took today off from cross country, do you think I should take tomorrow off too? We have a 6:30 AM practice.

I think you should take tomorrow off and see your medical doctor. You need to be sure that nothing serious is going on with your ankle. ankle injuries take longer to heal than most other injuries. You need to wear a brace when you run to support the ankle. If you look at major athletes they're always wearing some sort of support on weak parts of their bodies.

i would go to practice and ask your coach. maybe you should tape your ankle. did you fall or twist your ankle. but yea i would definly say talk to your coach.
