Women's right...our bodies...blah blah blah!!!
What about the FATHER'S right!!!
His baby, too!!

Partial birth abortions are BARBARIC -- is that enough 'elaborating for you'?
Seriously, I don't understand how anyone, in their right mind can be FOR this kind of uncivilized behavior.
Has anyone read or seen how those "procedures" are performed?
Edit:
nardhelain---
Are you trying to say that at some point during the conception and development process a human is not a human? That is the craziest and wackiest thing I have ever heard. The sperm is human DNA and the egg is human DNA -- they merge (fertilize) into a human being that is growing and developing in the womb. There have been many cases where a human was delivered during the early stages of pregnancy and survived.
I often wonder what THEY would say about the choice, of whether they die or live --- IF it were possible to present it to them?!

I am personally 100% pro-life, but I think many people who support abortion would agree with me on this: partial birth abortion is sickening and evil.
If the same baby was born at the same stage of pregnancy by accident, it would be tenderly cared for and given any special help it needed to be comfortable and healthy, regardless of any birth defects or the mother's desire to keep the child.
With partial-birth abortion, the exact same child could be forced into undergoing a premature birth, and then during the birthing process, it would be gruesomely killed in a manner worthy of Saddam Hussein.
There is no circumstance that can justify this. Even those who support destroying life IN the womb cannot supply a good reason for murdering a child on its way out. To "save the life of the mother"? A partial delivery of a live child, followed by completely pushing out a dead one, is healthier for her? A violent unnatural death is better for a child with a fatal disease, than allowing the child to die quietly in its mother's arms an hour later?
If I had the power, I would require anyone who supported partial-birth abortion to watch one in person.

I used to be pro-choice. I felt, let the women have her judgment from God. Then, I converted to my current religion. I got married and had 3 kids of my own. I think early abortion is disgusting the way it is done. I work in a hospital, I KNOW! But partial birth is murder, cruel murder. I live baby is born with its head out. And while it is breathing, the 'doctor' injects Sodium Bicarbonate into the baby's soft spot. It is awful!
AGAINEST IT!!!
PS. IF the baby is alive and making noise, the birth mother hears all of the effects of the death.

Against ! Each abortion is a premeditated murder of a living Child of God with divinely bestowed eternal personality ! These divinely beloved Children will each be re-personalized up on the next higher mansion world Heaven and will be at the Divine Judgment of each Child murderer. Count the cost !
"a woman's right to choose" murder ? Then why not any humans "right" to be a serial killer? "Right" to be a cannibal ?
"Right" to be a rapist ? Godly Humans in society will say NO !
Pray that the few remaining ungodly liberals on the "Supreme Court" are soon replaced with Pro-Light of God and Pro-Life judges.
Light and Life in Jesus ! Not darkness and death !

I would only favor an abortion after the fetus has reached viability if:
* the life of the mother was jeopardized by carrying the fetus to term
* the fetus is incompatible with life and would be stillborn or only exist for a short time after birth (anencephaly, acephaly, etc.)
Beyond that, I have serious issues with someone who waited until after the fetus was viable to decide to voluntarily terminate. A woman has several weeks to determine what to do before the fetus reaches a point that it could survive outside the womb - IMHO the decision to abort should be made during that time.

AGAINST!!! In a "partial-birth abortion", the doctors induce labor, crush the skull and suction out the brain of a living baby. Unless the pregnancy places the mom in immediate mortal danger, the procedure is ghoulish and monstrous beyond belief.

Against. I'm against the act of any kind of abortion, but I do support the existance of the option for those who need it, depending on the individual circumstances. I think if you're going to get one, do it during the first month of the pregnancy. It shouldn't be used like birth control though, in an "LOL OOPS I'M PREGNANT BECAUSE MY BOYFRIEND DIDN'T WANT TO USE A CONDOM LOL.. ABORTION TIME!" kind of way. When it's something like rape, or if the mother's in physical danger by having the child, I'd accept that.

Against. "Aborting" a child capable of survival outside the womb is murder. I support all women's rights, including the rights of women yet to be.

Partial birth is not a medical term.
I dislike all later term abortions, but it is a small percentage and I don't have the audacity to make choices instead of a trained doctor and the woman having abortion. It could be anything - birth defects, health risks, or a bad choice. That doesn't mean I have the moral authority to ban any of them.
Most abortions in the third trimester, I believe, are banned. So the later term is generally late second trimester.
