i live in colorado and i've been playing hold'em for about 10 years but i cant play for money. so i play with family and friends around town. i really want to become a professional player and i think im pretty good. i want to test my skills against some real players. online doesnt help because theres no skill in it. its all luck. so are there any places, hopefully close to colorado, that allow 18 year-olds to play?

Actually, above answer isn't accurate. Native American/Indian Casinos allow people 18+ to gamble. Of course, you need to check your jurisdiction. So I don' t think you have to travel as far as Michigan. Good luck! It might be eye opening to actually play with people other than your family. Make sure you play at tables that fit your limits.

Join the Army, volunteer for duty in Iraq. Just riding up and down the highways in a Humvee should fulfill your need for gambling. Good Luck. Your are exactly the right age to become IED fodder in Bush's war.
