Depends what type of plastic has been used to make the bag and how thick it is (micron thickness), some can be as much as 500 years, others can be as little as 6 months. The most commonly used ones until recently took about 200 years to fully biodegrade.

Simple; it depends upon where the bag is left. If it is buried, 20 - 30 years. If left out in the sun on a windy day, hours.
