I just noticed this question is 9 years old, lmfao!
Oh well, lol. Arpaio is ITALIAN, not Sicilian.
There's a vast difference. Italy is a country, Sicily is a country.
Many people think Italians & Sicilians are the same...not true, and to some it can be offensive.
Also, while I'm here: the Mafia was established in Sicily...
As was the pizza, which was square - not round. ;-)

Is the surname Arpaio Italian/Sicilian?

I'd say yes ,the one Arpaio I can think of is Joe Arpaio . He is the Sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona. Labeled " America's Toughest Sheriff" he made the prisoners wear pink underwear, and made" tent city "to keep them from getting out early because of overcrowding. Anyway I don't know if any of that rings a bell with you but,Joe Arpaio was the child of immigrants from Naples, Italy.
