well my friend went out with a boy yesterday and she dumped him today. later on today he looks at me (i like him) i ask him if he could give me some candy and he did. so im wondering if he likes me and if he does (if) we go out would that be breaking girl code.

No. It'd be selfish of her to complain, real friends aren't so selfish. He hardly counts as an ex if she only dated him for a day. She couldn't have had any real feelings for him.
You should probably let her know, and maybe ask her why she dumped him, though. You might get a nasty surprise.

most likely it does break girl code... but sometimes the friend doesnt make a big deal out of it... i cant really tell if he likes you... it depends on if he looked at you in a flirtacious way... and if you think he seemed like he just asked you for the candy as an excuse to talk to you... you should wait about a week though before flirting with him ( if u can bear to )
another idea.. flirt with other boys (make sure he sees hehe) if he does like you he probably will come running... and you avoid breaking girl code... :)

Who gives a **** what she thinks? If you think you'll be happy going out with this guy, give him a chance. You never know, he could be the one and you could grow old together. I know some high school sweethearts that are still together almost 40 years later and it's like they're still dating. They are happy, why can't you be. If it was meant to be, your friend will understand and if she doesn't, she wasn't meant to be your friend anyway. But just in case, you should ask her and see what she thinks.

I think that since she dumped him and it wasnt serious then he is free for all. And the girl code IS important; but it shouldnt control what you do. Flirting is all good. I would talk to your firend about dating him depending how good this friend is and all.

lol, i'm not a chick, dont know the girl code, but in general, if they didnt have a "serious" relationship, then it's all good. And they were only together for a day... so it wasnt serious..... flirt away...

did she know you liked him before she got with him? if yes then yes go out with him and if no talk to her about it and make sure shes okay with it because if you dont you can loose a friend and guys are jerks most end up leaving girls so make sure and keep your friends before guys_*
