you might lose some weight doing this but its definitely not gona look pretty and its very unhealthy - all you will lose is water weight and muscle and slow down your metabolism dramatically and as soon as start eating normal again gain back more than lost.
you can only lose fat by creating just a slight deficit in daily caloric intake.
body needs 50cal/hour just for basic functioning (like when you are in coma) and thats 1200cal/day for a person under 150lbs, a person over 150lbs needs about 70cal/hour for that. You are not laying in bed all day so you need more than that - anything less is starvation.
for diet to work you have to be able to follow it every day of your life, eat 5-6 small meals a day, 5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day, lots of protein, complex carbs and healthy fats - your body needs all of that.
plus you have to do cardio which is the only fat burning exercise 4-6 times a week for average of 45min and do some light weight training a few times a week as well.

You're going to slow down your metabolism if you keep doing this. Basically, your body thinks it is starving and in order for you to survive, it shuts down on you. If you haven't started feeling dizzy and light-headed, that is what you have coming to you next. What I do to lose weight is eat some oatmeal every morning along with some toast and coffee and some fruit if I have any around. Then I eat a sensible, well-rounded meal for lunch consisting of the four major food groups and then I don't eat dinner... or if I do, it's a very light dinner like a green salad or a bunch of fruits and berries. Drink water throughout the day... even though you will have to go the restroom a lot at first and try to go out for a brisk walk every evening for about an hour. Do this, and you'll be surprised at how fast you start to lose weight and feel great!

Yeah that's really bad. It's suggested that even inactive youth eat at least 1000 calories a day. The best way to lose weight is eat healthy- that means cutting out chips, pop, candy and all other junk food and exercising 30 minutes a day. Especially if those 400 calories are empty! DON'T DO IT!

Heavy or not, you've got to eat more. It's better to change what you eat, choosing healthy low-fat options to lose weight, not just cut out everything cos then you won't get all the vitamins and minerals you need. I used to cut out different types of food until I was existing on ice lollies and watermelon and yes, I lost weight but then also began to lose my hair and got a bit loopy over the whole thing. So I speak from experience when I say, eat a balanced diet including a good breakfast (should be 25% of your daily calorie intake, which btw should be over 1200 in general, but see a nutritionist or your doc for a better idea). Try cereal and milk for breakfast, but go for skimmed milk. Then snack on fruit during the day. Have lots of salads, soups and vegetables, lean meat, low fat yoghurt, pulses, seeds and wholemeal pasta, brown rice, etc. Drink lots of water (and it makes your skin look great too, unlike starving yourself) and get regular exercise.
You've got to eat though, especially as you're at school and need lots of energy to concentrate.

Yes.
If you want to lose weight quickly, you should always eat more often with smaller portions. Eat vegetables and salad, w/ a little lean protein, every 3 hours. This will light a match for your metabolism.
Oh yea, if your a male, you should never let your calorie intake go below 1800, and if your a female, never let it go below 1500.

I think is better to eat like twice a day or 3 times, if possible because once honestly is not really healthy your digestion system needs food and also if u keep with that u could gain weight, u should go to some really good programs like Jenny Craig or weight watchers......and 400 calories.......no!!
You need at least 1200 a day!!!

Yes! It is very unhealthy...And I would know, because I do it too. All day at school, I don't eat anything, and when I go home I eat alot...that isn't very good because you end up eating more than you normally would if you ate 2 or 3 meals.

try eating like an appl ein the morning banana at school and a meal at home. At leat then you would be getting three meals a day and let me tell you your going to be tired as hell! EAT THREE MEALS A DAY!!!

yes. in a way. if you want to loose weight fast work out everyday. eat something like an orange for breakfast. a small heath bar or something for lunch and then eat diner at home. just eat wen you are hungry and no sugar or white bread! make sure you are walking or running for at least 25 minutes everyday. good luck.
